On 12 May 2026, Amsterdam will host the Green Mobility Exchange, a one-day gathering designed to accelerate collaboration across the sustainable mobility ecosystem. Organized by Cenex Nederland in collaboration with the City of Amsterdam, the event brings together industry leaders, policymakers, innovators, and researchers to explore practical solutions for zero-emission transport, clean energy infrastructure, and circular mobility systems.

A platform for real-world sustainable mobility solutions

The Green Mobility Exchange builds on the legacy of Cenex Nederland’s annual spring networking event, expanding it into a dynamic knowledge-sharing and innovation platform. Participants can expect expert seminars, a technology expo, and extensive networking opportunities, each focused on delivering tangible progress toward sustainable transport and infrastructure.

With an expected audience of over 100+ attendees, 20 exhibiting organisations, and 10+ expert speakers, the event aims to foster meaningful dialogue and partnerships that translate innovation into implementation.

Three themes shaping the future of mobility

The 2026 seminar programme focuses on three critical domains:

  • Transport & Mobility – Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM):
Addressing decarbonisation challenges and solutions for off-road and industrial equipment.
  • Energy Infrastructure – Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS):
Exploring the high-power charging infrastructure required to support electrified heavy-duty transport across Europe.
  • Circular Mobility – Circular Charging Infrastructure:
Highlighting resource recovery, lifecycle thinking, and circular design approaches within mobility systems.

Together, these themes reflect the integrated transition required across vehicles, energy systems, and material lifecycles to achieve zero-emission mobility.

Designed for decision-makers and innovators

The Green Mobility Exchange targets professionals actively shaping the mobility transition, including:

  • City planners, policymakers, and sustainability officers
  • Mobility entrepreneurs, consultants, and researchers
  • Fleet and logistics operators electrifying operations
  • Energy and infrastructure providers building charging networks
  • Circular-economy innovators developing closed-loop mobility solutions

By convening these diverse stakeholders in a single forum, the event supports cross-sector collaboration essential to system-level change.

The expo at the Green Mobility Exchange

The expo will include 20 exhibitors with mobility solutions ranging from micro mobility to non-road mobile machinery. The expo will also include a city square, specifically for municipalities to gather, exchange and meet the exhibitors.

To further support the the matchmaking, we organise a 1-minute elevator pitch after lunch to visit each exhibitor with a group of city representatives and other enthusiasts who want to join the round to understand the solutions present.

13 May: a city representatives special

Especially for those city representatives from abroad, the City of Amsterdam will host an extra session on Wednesday the 13th of May. More specific information will follow, but the main topic will be the electrification from a municipalities perspective on Zero Emission zones and fleet electrification.

Speakers will include Polis, writing a paper on municipal fleet electrification, and Cenex Nederland, who performed the recalibration of the fleet transition plan for the city of Amsterdam together with Fier automotive.

About Cenex Nederland

As an independent, not-for-profit research and consultancy organisation, Cenex Nederland works to accelerate the transition toward zero-emission mobility, smart energy infrastructure, and circular transport systems through research, strategic advice, and real-world implementation support.

The organisation collaborates with governments, businesses, and knowledge institutions across Europe to address challenges such as charging infrastructure deployment, lifecycle impacts of vehicles, and integration of renewable energy into transport systems.

Hosting the Green Mobility Exchange reflects Cenex Nederland’s broader mission:
to connect expertise, enable innovation, and translate sustainability ambitions into practical action across the mobility value chain.

Toward a collaborative mobility future

Sustainable mobility requires more than technological breakthroughs, it depends on shared knowledge, aligned policy, and coordinated implementation. The Green Mobility Exchange provides the environment where these elements meet, enabling stakeholders to learn from one another, discover emerging solutions, and form partnerships that accelerate the zero-emission transition.

As cities, fleets, and infrastructure providers navigate rapid change, initiatives like the Green Mobility Exchange demonstrate how collaborative platforms can turn ambition into measurable progress, helping shape a cleaner, smarter, and more circular mobility future.
